What this means if you own an RV

Let it be delivered. At the medians, an RV that offers delivery books one trip every 1.6 months, and one that does not books one trip every 2.3 months. Deciding that your RV may be towed or driven to a renter’s campsite is, of the things an owner controls, the one with the largest gap in this data.

Do not cut price to chase bookings. RVs priced below their class median complete fewer trips a month (0.57) than those at or above it (0.62). A lower rate gives up money on every booking without, in this data, bringing more of them.

Older RVs book less. An RV from 2015 or earlier books one trip every 2.4 months, against one trip every 1.5 months for a 2023-or-newer model. If yours is older, condition and photos have to do more of the work.

What this data cannot tell you

  • A trip is not a night. The listings publish completed trips, not trip length, so nothing here gives income or occupancy.
  • It counts only RVs listed today. Units that left the platform are not in it, which flatters the older groups.
  • Trips are counted over each listing’s whole life, so seasons are mixed. A listing first published in spring has seen more summer.
  • These are correlations across one company’s fleet. Newer RVs, for example, may also be the ones placed in busier markets.

Method

We read every Fireside RV Rental listing on Outdoorsy (owner account 15512, 701 listings) on October 6, 2026. For each listing live at least 3 months (582 listings) we divided completed trips by months since it was first published, then took medians by group. Classes and groups with fewer than 15 listings are left out. You may cite these figures with a link to this page.
